"Replacement Theology" is an ages-old false teaching that espouses the belief that the church replaced Israel in the inheritance of God's covenant promises. It began under the reign of Constantine and persisted in Christianity to this modern era. The concept is falsely taught that because Israel rebelled and fell away, she forfeited her promises and the covenant blessings, and, therefore, the church has replaced her and become the "new Israel."
