We have different types of giving but major ones in the Bible are four. The alms which is specifically for the poor or unprivileged, then we also have the first fruit which is given as an acknowledgement to God of what he has done to you,. May be you got a new job or you gave birth to the first child or you planted and it is the first harvest, or still you might have started a business and it's your first profit. Then we've seed offering whereby you are the one who decides to plant a seed, trusting God to make it germinate and produce 30, 60, and 100 folds, lastly we've sin or guilt offering where after confessing your sin to God you give an offering to seal and thank God for His mercy and Grace upon you. Others are thanks giving offering. We also have the tithing Which is to give to God the potion of 10% of whatever he has blessed you with, to help in running the ministry helping the windows, orphans and strangers as well as the priest.
