In the 21st century, we're not afraid to air the dirty laundry when it comes to archaic tendencies. The Women's rights movement is stronger than ever, we absolutely do not allow for racist slurs and we hold the rainbow flag with pride. But when it comes to old fashioned conventions, we're slow to raise eyebrows at arguably one of the most outdated societal constructions... marriage. Anya and Tom raise the bar when discussing long term relationships, considering whether humans were always made for monogamous relationships or has the patriarchy once again colluded in setting us in line.
