Base on the weight calculations, I was thinking, let say during the survey some heavy equipment such as engine’s spare parts and other crew provisions were loaded unto the ship – Should we account for these as well in the weight calculations. One must thoroughly work with the ship officers to not miss anything out and also know all the ship tanks layout. On my previous ship, We have all the tanks measurement figure written by the sounding pipe for reference – use this to know how many tape length to release into the tank.
