In this, the spookiest of seasons, we emerge from the shadows to discuss the RKO horror classic Cat People (1942). Topics include Val Lewton and Jacques Tourneur locking eyes across a crowded room, the mysterious world of Serbian stews, and a little too much about Lionel Atwill's extracurriculars. Irena did nothing wrong!

"Cat's in the bag and the bag's in the river!" Fantastic homage to Lewton and Tourneur. RKO execs get the bashing they deserve (RKO relied on surveys more than any other--they folded first). Wonderful discussion of how Lewton. Tourneur, and Robson created this unique achievement. Crazy nods to furries and Lionel Atwill's "orgy house." The subtext is always Dana Andrews.
