Congressman Alex Mooney is accused of accepting impermissible gifts, specifically a vacation to Aruba, in a report issued Monday by the House Office of Congressional Ethics. Demonstrators protesting Senator Manchin in downtown Charleston called on him to vote to end the filibuster. Seven of the protestors were arrested for disorderly conduct. Closing arguments have been delayed in the statewide trial of three opioid makers in Charleston. Investigations are underway after separate cases of bodies discovered, one in the Cheat River in Preston County and one along the Greenbrier River in Greenbrier County.
