I am 100% with the VA. Part of Desert Storn inoculations. That is when I started having brain and cognitive issues. I'm RN and had just finished civilian world college. Now greater than 15 yrs later, I cry, feel like I sleep on my rt side an no O2 got to it yet I can move my right side as mentioned earlier. I understand there is no cure. Copaxone injections use to help but now I don't take the injection. When I became numb I tried them again but they don't seem to help so all I do now is go to church, pray and cry. 😢

Hello - you would need to check with a Veteran Service Officer and/or VBA to see if you qualify for an Auto Grant. It is based on your disability. Thank you for your comment!

I have hand controls due to be unable to use my right leg. I have a 100% VA disability rating due to MS. The VA paid for the training and installation of the hand controls, as well as a "kneeling" front seat and hoist for getting the scooter in the van. b. frederick, check with the VA again. something doesn't sound right.

great info. my car is adapted due to extreme atrophy on my right side. i drive w/ my left foot. controls are electronic so my wife can switch over to drive normal. even though i am rated 100%, VA only helped w/ rehab traing expense. MS not a combat related issue??? MS foundation gave me a partial grant to help cover expense of vehicle modification. hopefully i will not need further vehicle mod.
