When I started there in 2012 I got sponsorship for 6 months for my show but I didn't extend it pending FM broadcasts. Wouldn't have been fair to ask a sponsor again without FM broadcast

Nah. Latest preferred site is the Royal Hospital at Calow. Not sure what the delay is - Roger suggested that it might be funding. Community stations are only allowed to raise £15k per annum commercially so that they do not compete with the regional commercial stations.

The "hold up" with the licence is folk getting their arse in gear. It's over ten years now waiting so the chances of a transmitter going up in the next few weeks looks a bit less than an even chance

Under Ofcom rules, you get two years to start broadcasting but he thinks they've spun a yarn about Covid pandemic so Ofcom have let them have more time.

Been speaker to one of the former directors at ElasticFM today... Three years into a five year licence, still no FM transmission.... and they are down to about five presenters - maybe two live shows per day
