Coming just after the 2019 NBA Finals, I'm pleased to share this conversation with NBA Hall of Famer and Lakers star Elgin Baylor.
Baylor was drafted first overall in 1958 by the then Minneapolis Lakers. He was named Rookie of the Year and only continued to improve throughout his career, being named NBA All-Star 11 times. Following his playing career and a short stint as Coach of the New Orleans Jazz, Baylor served as General Manager for the Los Angeles Clippers, being named the NBA's executive of the year in 2006 when the team won their first playoff series since 1976.
