NY1 reporter Grace Rauh tweeted about de Blasio’s 2017 tax returns on Tuesday, noting that he earned $223,449 in adjusted income. At the same time, he and his wife donated just $350 to charitable causes — $150 less than they paid their tax preparer and just 0.16 percent of their adjusted income. A spokesman for de Blasio told The Wall Street Journal that “The Mayor is not a rich man,” noting that he and his wife pay tuition for their son to attend Yale University.
