Today, a federal appeals court has overturned the death penalty for Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The ruling cites a judge’s error that has resulted in the reversal of three of Tsarnaev’s convictions along with the motion to vacate the death sentence. The court has ordered a new penalty phase trial. The three-judge panel of the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals did reiterate that despite this ruling: “Make no mistake: Dzhokhar will spend his remaining days locked up in prison, with the only matter remaining being whether he will die by execution.” Do you want to see Tsarnaev get the death penalty or are you satisfied with him spending the rest of his life in prison?
