  • Chance Raspberry | Overcome Personal Challenges in Pursuit of Dreams

27 MAR 2018 · Overcome Personal Challenges in Pursuit of Dreams Monday, March 26th, 2018 at 6 pm ET, Keith Anthony Blanchard of Center of Light Radio invites Simpsons' lead animator Chance Raspberry to share how this battle with Tourette Syndrome is not getting in his way for achieving wonderful successes in the world of professional animation. BISHOP JOHN SHELBY SPONG Chance Raspberry is an independent creator and veteran lead animator for The Simpsons. In his spare time, he created the world's first animated series about life with Special Needs based on his own life growing up with Tourette Syndrome. Despite these wonderful successes, the inconsistent and unpredictable world of professional studio art definitely kept him on his toes. Little Billy "What's the project? It's my original animated series, Little Billy. Inspired by my own childhood growing up with Tourette Syndrome, Little Billy is the ultimate nostalgia cartoon about life with Special Needs. The classic 2D traditional cartoons of animation's Golden Age and family sitcoms from the 1980s are the creative influence behind it. It's a real cartoon about real people! The project began in 1999 as a series of doodles and ideas. Now, over 15 years later, it has seen the success of two crowdfunding campaigns on Kickstarter and Indiegogo! It has also gained the love and support of many Special Needs communities, most notably TSA (The Tourette Association of America.) Billy's Condition: Growing up with Tourette Syndrome, my tics always varied. I never came close to the swearing, screaming, stereotyped version of Tourettes (still) portrayed in mainstream media – my greatest attribute was my energy! I was fearless and relentless. I never stopped. My parents would carry me everywhere because the second they put me down, I was gone! Cliffs, swimming pools, and other mortal childhood dangers were no match for my brazen curiosity and wild, untamed spirit. People hear ‘Special Needs' and immediately think ‘Educational', hence boring, or ‘Niche', hence ‘I don't have Special Needs so this doesn't apply to me…I won't get or enjoy it.' This aspect of Little Billy is just one of the key ingredients that make the series stand out and unique. It's not a show about life with SPECIAL NEEDS; it's a show about LIFE told through the eyes of a family conquering Special Needs. The '80s nostalgia, animation quality, story, adventure, and universal heart of Little Billy all play equally important roles. The Special Needs layer of the series is just the icing on the cake." – Chance Raspberry – http://LittleBilly.com Unbelievable: Why Neither Ancient Creeds Nor the Reformation Can Produce a Living Faith Today Little Billy: New Animated Short! Help a Simpsons animator with Tourette Syndrome make the world's first cartoon about neurodiversity! – Support the Project Here! • Nick Redfern | Real Life Horror! The Internet Is Alive and Slenderman

25 MAR 2018 · Real Life Horror! The Internet Is Alive and The Slenderman Mysteries Saturday, March 24th, 2018 at 11 pm ET, Join Paranormal Now's host Alan B. Smith as he welcomes Ken Cherry to discuss the UFO video released by the Pentagon and reported on by the NY Times in December, 2018 in relation to the 2007 – 2012 secret program: the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. Following Ken Cherry's report, the featured guest is cryptozoologist, ufologist and paranormal researcher Nick Redfern to discuss today's most insidious cryptid: the Slenderman. Discussing his book, The Slenderman Mysteries, Nick takes us down the rabbit hole of the most frightening kind where not only does the line between the real world and the shadow world blur, but where the borders of our very own reality are erased. The very nature and historical understanding of the Slenderman challenges our own state of existence. Slenderman was created in 2009 by Eric Knudsen when posted on the Something Awful website. So the Slenderman really is the cryptic of all cryptids because we are forced to ask, has the internet come alive enough to take our own imagination and make it a reality? Nick lays out historical evidence and science based philosophies to explain how we may no longer be the only creators on this planet. And if the Slenderman is any indication of what is to come…then we need to be prepared. NICK REDFERN Nick Redfern is a full-time author and journalist specializing in a wide range of unsolved mysteries, including Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, UFO sightings, government conspiracies, alien abductions and paranormal phenomena. He writes regularly for the London Daily Express newspaper, Fortean Times, Fate, and UFO Magazine. Redfern is the author of 40 books, including Immortality of the Gods, Weapons of The Gods, Bloodline of The Gods, Monster Files, Memoirs of a Monster Hunter, The Real Men In Black, The NASA Conspiracies: Keep Out!, The Pyramids and The Pentagon, Contactees, The World's Weirdest Places, For Nobody's Eyes Only, and Close Encounters of The Fatal Kind. He has appeared on many TV shows, including the BBC's Out of This World; the SyFy channel's Proof Positive; and the History channel's Ancient Aliens and Monster Quest. Alan's Paranormal Cabin I love talking about spooky tales and creepy cryptids! A good safe scare, I think, is healthy. In some strange way being scared by a story or movie can actually encourage humility as it awakens that instinct within us that says we are a part of something wholly mysterious, far from being the center of all things. However…The Slenderman. The Slenderman takes it to a entirely new level of realism beyond introspection and an entertaining mystery. It actually makes me a little superstitious – and I am not the superstitious type. Although I guess I am now. In fact, as I have read The Slenderman Mysteries book, written by Nick Redfern, I have been careful as to not ponder over it too much when I'm not actually reading. I won't even daydream or do anything that could be perceived as an invocation or invitation. And I take fairly seriously a quote from The Mothman Prophecies which Redfern refers to in his book: "When you noticed these things, they noticed that you noticed them." Now that's some creepy thinking! While it is not exactly the most novel idea, as we often are warned about the potential consequences of opening doors to paranormal entities, there is something about the way this character puts it that really pricks the limbic portion of my brain. As I said, I enjoy exploring the paranormal world of hauntings, scary beasts and the dark unknown,
