Perhaps deciding what is right comes from thinking forwards to explore the longer-term ramifications of a decision. But is there always a black and white solution to help you choose the right way forward. Psychology would show us that the best indicator about how a person might act in the future is to look at their past behaviours. In considering what the right thing is for someone else, we can at least consider other similar scenarios and use those as a guide as to what the consequences may be.
