26 SEP 2022 · Pilot action of Italian beneficiary Collettivo CollegaMenti. “Playlist” is connected with the idea of the “activation” of spaces throughout performing arts. “Activating” a space means to encourage people to take part in the performances. In order to “switch the place on”, the Playlist has been developed as a series of podcasts with audio-dramaturgy, allowing the audience to dive into the surroundings thanks to the audio performance. The Playlist project, developed by the 2015-founded theater company Collettivo CollegaMenti, is a site-specific artistic intervention with two main goals: the disclosure of cultural contexts (poetry, literature, classical and contemporary dramaturgy); the enhancement of urban places and their cultural potential. The user of the proposal is identified as “Participant” (the one taking part in cultural, personal and experimental initiatives) and is able to choose a track from the playlist displaying a series of titles. Each playlist brings to life a specific show called “Journey”, and the “Participant” is provided with an interactive map of the city, which is going to be available on their mobile phone. The map shows a route with marked stages and each stage is going to be provided with audio content created by actors and musicians. Access the contents by clicking on the virtual map through the QR codes. Therefore, Playlist is a “guided tour” that allows you to experience and discover places more deeply, thanks to the audios influencing the visual perception. It is a subjective journey: depending on time, light, mood and each Participant’s life experience, the performance can take a new turn and bring out the most hidden and mystical sides of each place, daring the Participant to go deeper.
