HISTORY OF ROCK MUSIC

  • FIRST COUNTRIES TO APPRICIATE ROCK AND ROLL

7 JUL 2022 · During the 1950s a new type of music called Rock and Roll emerged and revolutionized music tastes in America (specially teenagers) and ever since then the music world changed. • EVOLUTION OF ROCK AND ROLL

7 JUL 2022 · Rock musicians in the first decade of the 21st century found themselves in a paradoxical situation. • THE FIRST ROCK MUSICIAN

7 JUL 2022 · The most widely held belief is that the first rock'n'roll single was 1951's Rocket 88, written by Ike Turner, sung by Jackie Brenston (the saxophone player from Turner's backing band The Kings of Rhythm), and recorded by Sam Phillips, who later went on to found Sun records and discover Elvis Presley.
