Episode Five: The Cheddar Man Prophecies

7 MAY 2020 · Well gumshoes, this is it- we've come to the end of the line. Having covered all of the canonical guest appearances of Steve Urkel, we're going to wrap up with a discussion about other appearances and references (of both Urkel and Jaleel White) as well as Urkelmania and its associated merchandise, and some bad news to receive when you first break free of the Matrix.

Episode Four: Cheddar Man's Best Friend

30 APR 2020 · Well, gumshoes, our journey has taken us back to where it started. Urkel is back in Chicago (and also somehow 15 in the year 2019) as his self-built Urkel Bot has run amok and began to cause chaos in the city. Enter the Scooby Doo gang (sure, why not) who reluctantly agree to help Urkel figure out just what went wrong with his robot. Join Scott and Christopher as they discuss how Urkel could not sound less like Urkel, that he is aware of something called conjugal visits, and again that this episode of this television show came out in 2019. Insane.

Episode Three: Cheddar Man in the Dairy Land

23 APR 2020 · All right gumshoes, we're off to Port Washington, Wisconsin in hot pursuit of Steven Q. Urkel, last seen exiting Chicago via Jetpack. In this episode we discuss his guest appearance on the second episode of Step by Step. Yes, the second episode and Miller-Boyett is already doing stunt guest roles for ratings. Good stuff. Carol, the matriarch of the blended Lambert/Foster family, is dead set on young Al going to a confusingly named school dance so she can chaperone as a way to bond with her. Al, however, is dumped by her date for a more attractive girl. Enter Steven Urkel via a jetpack crash into the family's picnic table who not only was an expected guest of Mark, but also manages to give Al a boost of confidence. Meanwhile, Dana is attempting to score tickets to the musical "Cats" so she can take her music teacher, which makes no sense, but hey, at least this episode has full on A, B, and C plots going on which is much more than the Full House episode we discussed last time. Comparatively this episode is like the Rise of Skywalker. Oh, and also, Frank spends the bulk of the episode being horny. Join us as we discuss weird 90s logic and the fact that the notorious Cheddar Man may be physically indestructible.

Episode Two: The Cheddar Man in the Bay

16 APR 2020 · Listen up, gumshoes! We followed hot on the trail of one Steven Q. Urkel as he made his way to San Francisco to stay with a relative with a grand total of three minutes in the entirety of this particular television series. That's right, this week we're discussing the sixteenth episode of the fourth season of Full House: "Stephanie Gets Framed". Rather than Stephanie Tanner being set up to take the fall for a murder, which would certainly have made for better watching, she instead was insecure about her new glasses. Add in d-plots masquerading as b-plots involving Uncle Jesse's ineptitude when selecting a best man and Michelle trying to get money in her piggy bank so that the next time she runs to catch the ice cream man completely unsupervised she can make a purchase, and you have about five pages of script for a whole episode. This filled twenty-two minutes of programming and Steve Urkel was only there to buff out a few of them. Be brave, friends. We're diving deep already.

Episode One: The Cheddar Man Begins

9 APR 2020 · Listen up, gumshoes! Our first foray into following the exploits of Steven Q. Urkel begins with his first guest starring appearance - on Family Matters?! That's right, we head to Chicago to check out the twelfth episode of season one of Family Matters, in which the character of Steve Urkel made his debut as a one off. Due to his enormous popularity, his role was expanded and he very likely saved the show from cancellation. During our stay in Chicago, we check in on the Winslow family as Harriett is determined that thirteen year old Laura is too young to date, and Carl and Eddie make some horrifying decisions. We also talk a lot about V for some reason.
