  • Review of V. Beauregarde Blueberry Sour Ale : College Street Brewing on the We Love Craft Beer Show

5 JUL 2016 · In this segment, we tasted their "V. Beauregarde Blueberry Sour Ale", which is a 4.3% alcohol sour beer that may make for a great introductory sour for those beer drinkers who may not be familiar with the style. When your brewer is a sour fanatic, you're sure to taste something special. With low acidity and more tart than you'd expect, this kettle soured craft beer definitely packed a blueberry nose and sour punch. Is sour the next IPA as your beer of choice? Sour drinkers say "Yes"!... as long as you serve it in the right glass!

  • Review of Sweet Devil Stout : College Street Brewing on the We Love Craft Beer Show

5 JUL 2016 · In this segment, we tasted their "Brother Dewey Date Night" , which is a 8.1% alcohol brown ale flavored with hints of dates. The beer is aged for an entire year, and the story behind how this recipe came to be is very interesting as well. We let it breathe, didn't warm it up, and then: what an aroma! Then you get the dates in the back of your throat for a sophisticated backend and aftertaste. This craft beer won College Street Brewing a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival, which (as all craft beer lovers know) is the All-Star Game of craft beer brewing. A lot of work went into this beer, but unfortunately, you won't find this beer outside of Arizona, so if by chance you do - jump on it and try it for a truly unique tasting brown ale. After all, there's a lot of work that goes into making craft beer an art form!
