19 MAY 2020 · Our reputation or standing is often influenced by our job, our house, our car, our wealth. but who are you really? When you die you will leave all this behind and all that will be left is you before your maker.

18 MAY 2020 · If you’re someone who uses the gym you know to get the results you want will involve effort and consistency. As you strain each ligament and every muscle so it will stretch,repair and grow stronger. Your body is transforming from one shape to another. Following Jesus and Imitating his behaviour as we have been called to do in Ephesians5vs1 involves consistent discipline and self restraint as our character matures.

God now requires us to live a holy and pure life and this means honouring Him with our body too. When we change together we grow together and become stronger together but when we don’t change together we continue to grow but grow apart and in different directions. The key is togetherness and unity but life and it’s challenges can fragment our focus as we deal with problems on our own and not together as a unit. When this starts to happen disagreements and arguments ensue .

17 APR 2020 · So what does happen when the Christian dies? some say that we soul sleep until the resurrection of the dead but this is not what Jesus says. In Luke 23 verse43 He tells the thief on the cross today you will be with me in paradise. And earlier in Luke 16verse 19 Jesus told the story of the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man was in a place of torment called Hades and the poor man was in a place of comfort and joy called paradise. Note that the resurrection of their bodies was yet to take place so they were in a disembodied state. yet the rich man saw Lazarus, he recognised Lazarus, he felt pain and was in torment and he was thirsty.. so the rich man also retained his consciousness his identity and his memories. although he didn’t have a body he was still able to talk and express emotion.

7 APR 2020 · Yesterday we were looking at how great marriage is when things are going well. There’s nothing better than to share amazing experiences with the one you love.. but marriage especially Christian marriage is for life and we all change as we grow older. Our tastebuds change, our aspirations change as well as the realisation of our own limitations. So our hopes and dreams and expectations change too. When we change together we grow together and become stronger together but when we don’t change together we continue to grow but grow apart and in different directions. The key is togetherness and unity but life and it’s challenges can fragment our focus as we deal with problems on our own and not together as a unit. When this starts to happen disagreements and arguments ensue . If you find you are arguing more or perhaps talking less to each other then it’s time to reverse the trend and remember why are you fell in love in the first place with each other.
