  • Veda Gyan - 7 Shanti Mantras

14 APR 2021 · vedagyan2020@gmail.com The Shanti Mantras or "Peace Mantras" are Sanatan Dharma prayers for Peace (Shanti) found in the Upanishads. Generally they are recited at the beginning and end of spiritual discourses. Shanti Mantras are invoked in the beginning of Upanishads. They are supposed to calm the mind of the reciter and the environment around him. Reciting them is believed to remove obstacles that are AdhiDaivik, AdhiBhautik and Adhyatmic ie AdhiDaivik obstacles are those that are beyond our control, AdhiBhautik obstacles are those that arise from our environment and Adhyatmic are those obstacles that arise from our body and mind.
