Amir obtained his BA in Anthropology from the University of South Florida where he also earned a MA in Library & Information Science. Amir currently works as a User Experience Librarian for North Carolina State University Libraries.

  • Ghanaian Women’s Movement

    28 DEC 2023 · In this episode, we discuss the history of West African women’s transatlantic organizing for rights in West Africa. This episode examines West African women’s mobilization for women’s rights and their links to the wider international women’s movement of the early – mid-twentieth century in the context of the Atlantic World. Joining me, is Aincre Evans. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in History at the University of Oxford, where she is a Black Academic Futures Scholar. She has a Master of Studies in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality from the University of Oxford and an MA in African studies from Leiden University, in The Netherlands. Aincre has lectured on various subjects in the field of African Studies across several universities and began her academic career in The Netherlands, where she co-designed and taught a course titled ‘The Idea of Africa’ for two years before moving to Ghana and working for the Institute of African Studies at Legon.
