Living with his father, who took on both roles as mom AND dad, he found himself still missing the motherly love he so longed for. In search of that love, CJ takes on the decision to rekindle his relationship with his mother. He fast forwards to the moment he moved down to Los Angeles to find new opportunities in pursing his college career at Long Beach State University. He also shares how much Whole Systems Learning has taught him. Since joining TRIBE and becoming a peer mentor, he has learned to listen to other people and their stories. He has discovered more about himself and who he is, but still wonders why his parent split to this day, and he reflects on blaming himself as a child. The mystery still stands, but he uses this emotion in his art of making music.
