  • Childhood Trauma.Opening Scripture: Psalm 21

    15 JUN 2022 · Childhood is a very vulnerable period in our lives. We are growing, developing and learning how to see ourselves and the world around us. This can in turn affect how we function as adults that if not careful, a very toxic generational cycle of trauma can be set up. In today’s episode, I share some responses as kids, that may be as a result of childhood trauma including a few signs and symptoms too. I hope this helps you or someone you know navigate and find healing through any past traumas. Most importantly, remember that God cares for you and ready and willing to heal our broken hearts (psalm 38:18). At the end of it all, we only have each other. Let’s love ourselves and be more merciful, let’s love our countries and most importantly, let’s love Africa! Hoping you’ll be blessed and encouraged 🙏♥️

    13 JUN 2022 · “You should have known better!?” Well what if the action you took is the only “better” you know in accordance to the knowing you have been exposed to? 🤷‍♀️ I am learning that it’s okay to make mistakes or be wrong because that’s probably the only “right” you might know how to do in that moment. 🤗 In today's episode, I share a few lessons that I picked from some stories in the Bible when people experienced seemingly overwhelming situations and how they dealt with them. I hope you’re Blessed and encourages as you listen. 🙏♥️

  • Words!!!! Expressing Agreement To? Opening Scripture: Psalm 23

    6 JUN 2022 · According to dictionary definition, the word ‘WORD’ also means to express agreement. Now imagine the numerous agreements we’ve made with a few careless words we speak or have spoken 🤦‍♀️ LORDHAMERCY. In this episode, I share a few things and most importantly scriptural affirmations that can encourage us as we start our day to speak well of ourselves, surroundings and everything else connected to us. Proverbs 18:21 MSG Words kill, words give life;
    they’re either poison or fruit—you choose. QUOTES “Words have energy and power with the ability to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate, and to humble.” “Don’t ever diminish the power of words. Words move hearts and hearts move limbs.” In closing, Proverbs 16:24 Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. Be Blessed as you listen…🙏😇

  • Gratitude And The Impact Of Ingratitude. Opening Scripture: Psalm 100

    30 MAY 2022 · Growing up we were taught to say thank you when given something or something good done for us. Most especially, we were taught to always say a “THANK YOU “ prayer when you wake up to acknowledge that it’s God who’s made it possible for you to be awake. A few days ago after watching a discussion on BETTER TOGETHER, Pastor Holly Furtick said something that resonated with me. She talked about how she’d wake up in the morning and after a short“thank you” prayer , she couldn’t help but start complaining about the other things that she felt were going wrong around her and the impact that her complaining had on her? Have you ever found yourself in that situation? What does ingratitude do to us? Listen in and be blessed as I share some knowledge and spiritual significance of gratitude and the impact of ingratitude in our lives.

  • #tcif Good To Let Go Of……Opening Scripture, PSALM 118:1-10 Thrive! Cos it’s Friday!

    27 MAY 2022 · Exodus 2 The Message Moses 2 1-3 A man from the family of Levi married a Levite woman. The woman became pregnant and had a son. She saw there was something special about him and hid him. She hid him for three months. When she couldn’t hide him any longer she got a little basket-boat made of papyrus, waterproofed it with tar and pitch, and placed the child in it. Then she set it afloat in the reeds at the edge of the Nile. Have you ever been advised not to pursue something because it could be bad timing? Or told to let go of something good? Something you really like, love despite having full conviction that’s it’s yours? Listen in as I share my understanding from the story of Moses’ mother, Jochebed, and a few things I noted regarding the importance of letting go of good things especially when there’s a threat or the time for the manifestation hasn’t yet come. The root of all our problems is our inability to let go. - Leo Babauta

  • LET’S TALK MENTAL HEALTH. OPENING SCRIPTURE ISAIAH 30:19-26.

    25 MAY 2022 · What is the difference between someone being lazy or going through a mental health crisis like depression or anxiety ? Where do we draw a thin line? I’m learning and understanding that People don’t just suddenly lose interest in doing things they’ve always LOVED to do. With careful analysis, you’d find quite a number of reasons one could be going through that season . A particular lady who simply explains it this way, “It stated slowly, but I always picked myself up. Month after month the cycle continued until eventually I just couldn’t anymore. My body started experiencing weird symptoms and one that got me off the hook was partially diagnosed intercoastal neuralgia (atleast according to the Doctors), just started as ordinary dull back pain, then it became sharp , until I started having breathing difficulties, initial eventually I just lost interest in doing anything. I started experiencing episodes of agoraphobia, all I wanted to do was be in my room doing absolutely NOTHING!“ it was the simple things that I could no longer do. Like people who know me can attest to the fact that I never go to bed without brushing my teeth, well at a particular time, for about 6 months I honestly wouldn’t even notice I didn’t until I was in bed and reflecting on my day…… God doesn’t create mad people, crazy people, kuku people ,zogo people…. He created us perfectly in His image, and likeness. GENESIS 1:27 Adverse situations = adverse responses, but the responses don’t define us…. stop numbing the feelings, trauma is real , they’re normal traumatic human responses. LETS STOP THE STIGMA. SEEK HELP. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING, BE BLESSED 😇🙏🏽

  • Ride Or die OR Ride Or Ride Or Thrive? #tcif# ThriveCosIt’sFriday.

    20 MAY 2022 · ✌🏼 Ride or Die Or Ride or Thrive! OPENING SCRIPTURE PSALM 20 :1-9 Isn’t it amazing how we adopt certain trends or sayings without fully understanding the meaning behind them or how they came about. I’ve heard this saying before and honestly, I never knew what it meant. Just a quick one on the meaning , ride or die is a term used to describe a person (usually a woman) that is willing to do anything for their partner, friend, or family, even in the face of danger or it kills you. Listen in and share your thoughts too… Be Blessed ✨

  • THE FIRST CUT IS THE DEEPEST??? OPENING SCRIPTURE READING PSALM 121

    15 MAY 2022 · We’re going to look through a beautiful passage of scripture from Matthew. Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son - Matthew 1:18-21 18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[e] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. 20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[f] because he will save his people from their sins.” THE FIRST CUT IS A TEST….. - I can’t relate much to a lot of things but if you want to talk about having a Professor issues , I’m going through that now. Want to talk about broken friendships, I’ve been there. Talk about failing whether school, personal goals, etc I’ve been there…. - But what’s important? Imagine throwing in the towel at every seemingly difficult turn? You’ll clog the world because harsh times/ days are inevitable but it doesn’t nullify, instead only magnifies the “God factor.” ✨ Listen in and Be Blessed. And of course, if you have a different narrative please feel free to leave a comment or send an email 🤗 Have a Victorious Monday and Week ahead ♥️🤩
