  • I feel "fat"

31 JAN 2021 · What does it look like to have a relaxed and flexible relationship with food? One that is not weighed down by the pressures of society or the unreachable expectations of beauty that we place on ourselves as a result of as said society. On this week's episode, as I reflect on my evolving relationship with food, I discuss 5 takeaways from a recent training. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording. ✨ What is your own relationship with food? I would love to hear from you. Tell a friend to tell a friend! • Sincerely, Omaina

17 JAN 2021 · Happy New Year beautiful people, It has been a while! 6 months, I honestly don’t know where the time went. But A LOT has happened. We are living in “unprecedented” times as they say. It has been crazy, to say the least, but we made it, so cheers to you. This week's episode is a somewhat 2nd chapter to my open letter to my dad. In it, I share with him the 5 of the current themes in my life. Today would have been my dad’s 54th birthday so Happy Birthday Zakilo, I miss you more than words could ever explain. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording. I honestly forgot how much I love recording, so thank you for giving me the opportunity to come back. Every time I thought of just letting this go, I would randomly stumble on my sound cloud page and saw that you were still listening. So thank you for the gift that is our little corner of the inter-webs. Don’t forget to like and follow. For all the people who have been listening, thank you for riding with me, and for those who are new, welcome to the fam. I appreciate you more than you know. • Growing Pains

15 JUL 2019 · “You do the best you can with what you have and end up where you were supposed to be.” This weeks episode was just an excuse for me to rant on where I am at. I have been going through a lot of transitions in the past 10 months or like my friend Timi called it “growing pains.” I am forever grateful for the opportunity to do this, and have people actually listen and care about what I have to say so thank you!. My only question/thought for you this week is: Is there anyone listening to this that can relate to these feelings? If so, please hit me up and let me know! As usual, I hope you enjoy listening, as much as I enjoyed recording. Don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe. • Dear Former Self

7 JUN 2019 · 🗣🗣 New episode alert: FINALLY! I know this is late.. I know.. I know… BUT life! Editing is not fun! haha On this week’s episode with help from my beautiful guests, we tackle the idea of conversing with your inner child; specifically our 13 year old selfs. As I continue on this journey of “adulthood,” slowly becoming the woman I believe I destined to be, I am constantly confronted with my past: decisions made, paths chosen, etc. I chose this topic, because I believe as we reflect on our pasts in preparation for the future, we must continue to be kind to our inner child, who is the ultimately the foundation for who we become. :) P.S We changed venues for this episode, it was recorded on my bedroom floor with my phone. Mostly because the studio is far lol, but also I guess we were trying to keep it chill and personal :) I hope you enjoy listening, as much as I enjoyed recording. And again special thanks to Amman and Irene for taking this journey with me. Don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe. Remember! this podcast is also available on Apple podcasts and Spotify. I only have 1 question for you lovely people this week *swipe left*. Find your voice and create your space
Just like my name, I hope that my podcast can be one of a kind. I would like this podcast to be an avenue for intentional and deliberate conversations, as well as ignite a similar spark in the minds and hearts of my listeners. I hope to touch on a variety of issues ranging from critical reflections of my favorite tv shows to my thoughts on societal trends and issues. Ultimately, I would like to use this platform to encourage individuals to find their voice and create their space, regardless of where they find themselves. I want to promote the idea that you should never wait for someone to give you permission to speak up or take your place.
