  • JesUS - HE Gets US...OR Does HE?

1 APR 2024 · We are back on this Easter Week & Birthday Edition of the podcast, where we plan to discuss thee greatest figure to ever human history - Jesus the Christ. And, we plan to discuss Him from three different vantage points. The first vantage point we plan to discuss is the Politicization of Jesus Christ; and how politicians incorporate Jesus into their political agenda for their own political and selfish interests. Secondly, we plan to discuss the Socialization of Jesus Christ, where society seeks to humanize Him to the point where He becomes relatable to them, but they have no desire or interest in being like Jesus. And, finally we discuss the Spiritualization of Jesus Christ, and how the Church wants to be viewed as the religious headquarters of Jesus Christ not realizing that He has a desire for mankind that is greater than religion. PLUS, we have a powerful Thought of the Week from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in what is widely known as his own eulogy entitled, "The Drum Major Instinct." In this episode's excerpt he offers and extraordinary description of the greatest figure to ever enter human history. Jesus Christ is indeed thee greatest man to ever live, and His expression of love for us is incomparable, and incredible. We owe Him a debt of gratitude for the extraordinary demonstration of love He has shown over 2000yrs ago at Golgotha's Hill. Finally, we are excited to be celebrating Chapter 48th on this week's episode as well, and we are equally as happy to be celebrating with the listeners of the podcast. We thank you for continued support, and we hope you enjoy this week's show. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/michael-s-nimmons/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/michael-s-nimmons/support
