  • What Is Wellness? 7 Steps to a Healthy Lifestyle

8 AUG 2018 · By definition, a lifestyle is "the way that we live" or "our day-to-day thoughts and actions." And I define wellness as "the harmonious balance between the body, mind, and spirit." When we practice a wellness lifestyle, all of our thoughts and actions and focused on the balance between the mind, body, and spirit. In fact, in order for something to become a habit it has to become a part of your lifestyle. Wanna be at a desired weight? Well, you have to live a lifestyle of proper diet, fitness, and exercise - and it has to be practiced every day. And the same is true for living a wellness lifestyle. Wellness is not a "soft appointment" or something that we add to our calendar with the option of cancelling if something else comes up. In order to receive the benefits, you have to honor the process and respect the game - every day. Especially if you're a person of color. Greg Anderson states: “Wellness isn't a "medical fix" but a way of living - a lifestyle sensitive and responsive to ALL the dimensions of body, mind, and spirit. An approach to life we each design to achieve our highest potential for well-being now and forever." Next, I'm here to share with you that living a wellness lifestyle is easier than the lifestyle you have right now. You will lose anxiety. You will lose the undue stress you put on yourself. You will lose the depression, self-doubt and your internal "hater" conversations that you often have with yourself. I also believe that a wellness lifestyle has to be in-step with our current realities, so I'm sharing "A Road to Contentment," a simple, 7-step wellness training system showing you how to incorporate 7 core wellness fundamentals to: 1) Accept Wellness as a Lifestyle 2) Live Sustainably, Use What You Need, & Minimize Waste 3) Take Care of Your Body 4) Feed Your Mind 5) Nourish the Spirit 6) Honor Your Environment & Personal Space 7) Surround Yourself with People Who Love & Support You © 2015-8 Nik Ridley/Nik Free Show/ASAgency. • America: Like It or Not, We're in This Together

4 AUG 2018 · With all the craziness we're witnessing, maybe we're so focused on the details that we're forgetting the bigger picture? Whether we agree or not, the bottom line is that it's taking its toll on everyone. People are tired. Overwhelmed. Stressed out - just trying to make it through the day. By and large, this is the America that I see, and when you throw the unnecessary messiness on top of it all, it can get overwhelming really quick. But like it or not, we're in this together.
