The Investigators

  • Ep1: Trial from the Grave - The Lizzie Borden Investigation

30 APR 2022 · At the turn of the twentieth century in the sleepy village of Fall River, Massachusetts, a man and his wife were brutally murdered with an axe in their home. Accused, arrested, and tried was their daughter, Lizzie Borden. She had motive. She had opportunity. There was even damning evidence--but Lizzie was acquitted. This true nightmarish tale became an American legend and even a children's nursery rhyme. The home in which the horror took place still stands today as a bed and breakfast. Guests have often reported the lingering presence of the victims and possibly Lizzie Borden herself. The Investigators spent three days in the home investigating the ghostly claims, but also took a unique opportunity to put Lizzie back on trial with a real-life trial attorney during their investigation. Can dead witnesses still point the finger at the real killer? Listen to Brad, Barry, and Katie as they discuss their investigation and find out what may have been revealed.
