29 APR 2022 · In today’s episode, Dave and Travis sit down with Sidney Smith aka Tri No Feet and Bakcou CMO Brian Marsing. Dave and Sid met at the International Sportsmen’s Expo and connected there, and the friendship has grown ever since. Sid has truly been a Bakcou-lifer and been a Bakcou rider since the beginning. Sid was born with a progressive disease that affects your extremities. The disease affects everyone a little differently and for Sid, it focused on his feet. After attempting multiple surgeries, he made the tough decision to do a below-the-knee amputation in both legs. He talks about how he was inspired by the Ironman competition during recovery from his second amputation. Five years later, he competed in his first Ironman after re-learning how to walk, run, ride a bike, swim, and so much more. In addition to being an Ironman, Sid is a salesman by day and an avid outdoorsman by night and weekend. He’s also heavily involved in the Disabled Outdoorsman – Utah non-profit, helping to get disabled individuals introduced to new outdoor activities. They talk about how he manages and balances his time to train, spend time with his family, and enjoy the outdoors.
