  • Different House Systems In A Chart

3 DEC 2019 · In a western tropical astrology chart, you have 12 houses. However, deciding where to divide the houses is called a house system. Also, the same 1st house in a natal chart can mean one thing, while in an event chart it can mean something different. So depending on what type of chart you want to read, you would use different systems. We duscuss this here. www.theadultastrologer.com

  • Progressions - What Are They And Why Use Them

3 DEC 2019 · The natal chart shows your whole life, but how do you know what year certain events will take place like marriage for example? Once you're born, your chart starts "progressing" or ticking off like a timer. A degree per year actually. This evolution of your chart then tells you the approximate year events take place such as what year you marry, have children, go to college (if you do go), and so on. So in order to know what year events promised by the natal chart happen, that's why you also calculate the "progressions", or compare the natal chart to the progressed chart. The same thing for events, business or even city charts - the progressed chart shows you the evolution of the natal, or base chart. Events or changes in the progressed chart are very difficult to change as these fall heavy into the destiny category. You can't change them like you can change a solar return simply by being in a different city on that day. Progressions are etched in stone in other words. www.theadultastrologer.com

  • The Birth Chart As An Event Chart

2 DEC 2019 · Everyone knows the natal chart is the chart of a person, or even a pet or animal like if you owned a horse and knew what time the horse was born. Another way to look at the natal chart is to view it as the "event" of the birth. To explain, you can tell if the native was born while the mother was on drugs, or doing natural birth. You can see where the person was born whether in a hospital, a home birth, or maybe the back seat of a car. You can see birth complications such as if they came by c-section, or even if the mother died giving birth. You can even see who is present at the birth by looking at the natal chart as the birth event chart. www.theadultastrologer.com

  • Starting With Symbols

2 DEC 2019 · If you're just starting to learn predictive astrology, start by learning the symbols. Here I explain the symbols you'll need to memorize in order to be able to look at an astrology chart, a moon calendar, or an ephemeris (a book that gives you the planetary positions for every planet), and then be able to "read" it. Astrology symbols are like numbers to a mathematician - they're a universal language like numbers are. Before we can get into the meanings of things, you need to know the symbols, or the language, of astrology. Example: the symbol for Venus is that of the female, but its also the ruler of Taurus and Libra. So before we can define what that means, you have to know what those symbols mean so you know that's the Venus symbol. In a chart, the zodiac signs are there, as well as the signs for the planets and other things like the Dragon's head, or the part of fortune. So let's memorize your symbols first, then we can go on to what they mean. Go to www.theadultastrologer.com to find me.
