22 MAY 2020 · Joyce Diane Brothers is most well known for being the only woman to ever win the $65,000 Question, a popular game show from the 1950's, but what she really did was normalize psychology and therapy for the masses. She was very vocal about discussing hard topics, and made massive headway in getting the average person to acknowledge the benefits of discussing mental health openly. It is shocking how little is truly known about this amazing, intelligent, woman.

She was an inspiration to all young females in the game of baseball and is still spoken about to this day.

8 APR 2020 · In this episode, Nona, Johnny, and Will discuss this legendary Hawaiian Queen who was for her people until the end. Her people reciprocated her love after her death by giving her the most royal of funerals, although the kingdom had since fallen. This amazing woman did far more than lead a nation and help her people though, she also composed many songs that remain well known to this day. She is certainly someone to try to live up to.

6 APR 2020 · In this epic 2 part story from Greece we discuss both the history of Medusa and what led to that famous snake hair, as well as the alluring sirens who drew you in with their beautiful music surpassed only by the muses. We decided that Medusa's story is really quite tragic and it leaves a sour taste in our mouths regarding Poseidon. We also discuss how the original version of sirens would have hunted much differently than we have read in books and seen in movies.

6 APR 2020 · In this fantastic episode we discuss the incredible phenomenon of Onna Bugeisha the female Samurai class from feudal Japan. These women were highly trained and specialized warriors who fought alongside the legendary samurai. They were basically the last line of defense for villages with no men as well as running covert missions to stop invaders. They had a ridiculously long reign of protection and it is truly unbelievable that they are not significantly more well known to us in the modern age.

6 APR 2020 · In this episode we discuss the first woman to fully embody the title of Pharaoh. She was literally the inspiration for the Valley of the Kings which was the burial place for the biggest of the big Pharaohs. She also massively expanded borders, and improved the lives of everyone living in Egypt during her reign. She is truly iconic, and her legend should be retold for generations to come.

6 APR 2020 · Hello Friends, this episode features the first ancient Korean Queen. She had some amazing battle instincts, and was incredibly adept at reading the hidden messages given in life. She improved her country in multiple lasting ways, and instigated a ton of new building in Korea. There are buildings she started that still stand today even. What a way to start off having women in charge.
