21 DEC 2022 · Coming up on today’s show,My guest is Emma Kamio,Former NHS and private Nurse  ,Homeopathic practitioner,Researcher ,AuthorAnd last and certainly not least a mother of three children,I’ve often though that becoming a nurse isn’t a 9 to five job in my opinion it’s  a vocation -the caring for others in sometimes tragic circumstances is not just a clock in clock out get a pay cheque type job ,Emma’s passion for caring for others started when she was very young in hers teens in-fact  .A few years later and After qualifying as a nurse and gaining experience-She went on to travel the world honing and adding to her skill- set as a healer ,Not just as a western trained nurse -But also seeking out and working with very ancient in origin medicinal disciplines that up until recently were looked at as unconventional here in the west ,Healers from places like India where to practice the traditional medicine of homeopathy-first you need to be a fully qualified Dr .My Guest today has through rigorous testing researching and proving a term that we will get to hear and explained to us properly - developed a treatment that was originally taken from a specific cancer sample ,Now I’m not going to try to explain how , what- why  or whom as even if I tried I couldn’t, all I can tell you is that the results from this massive undertaking and what Emma calls the Treatment are seemingly quite amazing and very encouraging.My guest today pulls no punches and certainly won’t sugar coat her views or opinions- her experience as a multi discipline health professional will not allow her to ,Oh and she just happens to be a really great person also - her personality is addictive and a joy to be around. 29 NOV 2022 · In this spoof episode I'm pushing back against what has become the norm when trying to contact most big companies these days.this episode was collaborated on by four of my Good friends .Why a spoof episode I hear you ask ,As you may or may not know I am very concerned with the progression of The use of A.IIn call centres and also the now frequent un-navigable websites “which are of no help whatsoever,A week or two ago I spent what seemed like hrs trying to speak to someone from the power company we use ,The answer that I was seeking wasn’t on any menu on their unfriendly website and the call was cut off after twenty minutes of waiting -time and again,And when eventually I did get through to someone ‘ the disinterest was apparent,This episode isn’t that long but greatly irritating because I’ve tried to recreate the typical call centre experience ,Having said that there is good humour contained within and irony,It’s meant to highlight the growing problems we all face when trying to speak to someone and just want a little help .————————————————————All jingles and logos are copyright and owned by the simon Laurie king podcast © 

28 OCT 2022 · Coming up on today’s show ,I’ve always wondered about the Druidic tradition and their Mythology ,The Druids here in Britain make a regular appearance at the summer solstice heralding the rise of the early morning sun at stone henge ,In my search for a Druid To come on to this show I came upon - Darv the Bard – spelt Damh meaning stag in Gaelic or Dave which is his given name Darv is a modern-day Bard whose spirituality and love of folk tradition is expressed through his music, storytelling and poetry. Drawing on the Bardic tradition, his performances are both entertaining and educational, speaking directly to the heart, and never without a good splash of humour.With eleven outstanding albums, and singing and speaking engagements all over the world, Damh has become one of the most popular contemporary Pagan musicians – he is a musical storyteller who works within the world of myth: where the Faerie folk really do dance on Midsummer’s Eve, where the trees talk, and the Hollow Hills take you into the realms of Annwn, where the Goddess rides her horse, guiding you to magic, and the Horned God of old calls to you from the shadows of the Greenwood.He began his Spiritual Journey at a very young age, often found in the school library reading through books on magic and the supernatural.
