  • Episode 7 | HELP! Nobody Cares

30 APR 2024 · After we lose a child and the dust settles, it can feel like nobody cares. Their lives go back to normal while our world is completely shattered. In this episode we talk about healthy vs unrealistic expectations that we can place on our friends after we lose a child. Oftentimes it's not that people don't care, it's that they don't have the bandwidth to help us to the degree that we might need at the time.  We will talk about how to decipher whether someone really doesn't care or whether something else is going on in their lives.  Find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SilentGriefSupport https://www.facebook.com/jimmyhintonauthor And Twitter: https://twitter.com/clarahinton https://twitter.com/JimmyHinton12

  • Episode 2 | We Need People To Surround Us When Tragedy Strikes

19 MAR 2024 · The day after my son died was a blur. The whole family showed up and as we were making funeral plans kids were outside playing. It was two contrasting moods. As our world stopped, life still had to move forward. Mouths had to be fed and we had to process what had just happened together. Fortunately, we found a strong support system within our family that got us through that day. And the following days.  Grief hits hard and we really need people to hold our hands through the process. Without that support system the harshness of death is magnified. In this episode we share the importance of being present with grieving people.  Find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SilentGriefSupport https://www.facebook.com/jimmyhintonauthor And Twitter: https://twitter.com/clarahinton https://twitter.com/JimmyHinton12
