6 JUN 2015 · A cause that is close to the hearts of many at SheTalks is the Canadian Forces. We're so thankful for the service that our military men and women provide, so we were so excited that Kelsi Sheren, CEO and Founder of Her Wearables agreed to do a podcast with us!
Who is Kelsi? Well, you may have seen some of her super amazing bullet bracelets at stores in the lower mainland. The sales from these bracelets go to support the Wounded Warriors Canada Project.
Kelsi's bio from her website (http://www.her-wearables.com/about/)
My name is Kelsi Sheren, I am the creator of Her Wearables. I have had a very interesting journey on my way to creating Her. Fresh out of college I joined the Military, had a 4 year stint in the Canadian Forces including a 2009 tour in Afghanistan, I got an EMR paramedic degree, a Criminology degree, fell in love and married my husband, and now as a retired Veteran I am starting the next chapter in my life as a jewellery designer and entrepreneur. This project started out as a hobby, but has quickly grown into an amazing jewellery company called her. I chose the simple and elegant name Her for the company because I wanted to offer jewellery inspired by life experiences specifically to women. Her might be you. Her might be a family member. Her could be a stranger on the street, or someone you have known for years - But the truth is, Her can be any woman. Many of us share experiences with each other every day, and I wanted to create pieces that remind all of us what it's like to be a woman in today's modern world. No matter what you have experienced in your life, Her aims to tell a part of my story, your story, and all of our stories with each uniquely created collection.
