13 FEB 2023 · Today’s reading shows Jesus’ commitment to prayer and being led by the Spirit in His ministry as He fulfils the Kingdom’s agenda. We see that Jesus got up very early in the morning, while it was still dark, in order to spend time in prayer. In the gospels there are over 45 sections of Scripture and 30 instances in which Jesus modelled and taught a prayerful life. Prayer was more than an event or action to Jesus. It was a lifestyle of connecting with the Father; Jesus lived a life that was PRAYERFULLY DEPENDENT.

10 NOV 2022 · The passage in today’s reading is known as the Beatitudes and they function as the springboard into the rest of what is known as the Sermon on the Mount.
