'Ali al-Azdee said: I asked Ibn 'Abbaas (رضي الله عنه) about Jihaad. He replied, "Shall I not direct you to that which is better than Jihaad? I said, "Yes." He said, "Build a masjid and teach within it the Qur'aan and fiqh (understanding) of the Religion."
