26 DEC 2023 · There are two schools of thoughts when it comes to this topic: 1. Those who believe Christmas although not explicitly mentioned in the Bible has core principles that align with the Christian faith, such as love, joy, gratitude, shared fellowship and rest. 2. There are also those who oppose the celebration of Christmas citing its paganistic roots. They believe in biblical purity and do not want to involve in any festivities that detract from the true worship of Christ. Whatever your stance may be, it’s crucial to encourage open dialogue and respectful conversation in differing views within the Christian community. We must understand that everyone has their personal convictions and how they interpret the scriptures. It’s important that as Christians we embrace diversity and yet maintain unity as our guiding principle. I support the celebration of Christmas because I believe it fosters community, strengthens family bonds and offers us a chance for rest and rejuvenation.
