24 JUN 2018 · I transcribed this solo a couple of months back. This lick is one of many that I enjoyed from Tom Harrell's solo on "Softly As in the Morning Sunrise" in 1991. In this episode i teach the lick to you by ear in a easy to follow format. Hope you enjoy! Comment below what you thought about this episode and if I should do more of these lick lessons. • Ep.5 | F Blues Scales [Let's Practice]

13 JUN 2018 · In this episode we’re gonna practice the scales used in the concert f blues chord progression in 4 different ways. First I’m gonna teach you the which scale we’re gonna use for each chord then go straight into the exercises. Be aware that, I am talking in Bb trumpet. If you aren’t a Bb instrument, you can still participate. You’ll just have to ignore my transposition in the beginning and play what you hear instead. Also I would love your feedback after you finish this episode. Do you like it the way it is or what improvements should I make so it can be a better experience for you?
