  • Episode #4 - Is your Garden Illegal?

11 JUN 2019 · On this episode of the podcast, Mike and Maurice analyze historic district commissions. These commissions are semi-government entities that are often chaired by private individuals who arbitrarily determine whether a change you are making to your house conforms with the “historic attributes” of that neighborhood. The Ohio Constitution Podcast is a platform where collaborators Mike Gabrail and Maurice Thompson will discuss and analyze legal trends and cases that affect Ohio property rights, free speech rights, taxpayer rights, and countless other subjects concerning the liberties of Ohio’s citizens.

Mike and Maurice use each of their unique backgrounds to comment on and debate different laws and actions of Ohio’s state and local governments, as well as analyze activities in other states that may impact Ohio. While true conservatives that understand the pitfalls of a large federal government, Mike and Maurice believe that state and local governments often get away with much worse abuses of power and constitutional violations because the spotlight is not on them quite the same as it is on the federal government; the Ohio Constitution Podcast is dedicated to creating the same spotlight for Ohio’s state and local governments.
