Because of their hearts they were able to give thanks and praise. One left everything to accept the God of Israel. The other considered an outcast from the nation of Israel as well as society was able to call on the King of kings and the Lord of lords for healing. Together because of their need and circumstances, they were both able to demonstrate an attitude of gratitude and humility by giving God thanks and praise.
