4 MAY 2018 · In this episode, My Vote Counts (MVC) National Co-ordinator Janine Ogle discusses the campaigns MVC has been involved with over the years. In particular, she details the work since 2012 to ensure transparency around private donations to political parties. These efforts have recently borne legislative fruit as Parliament passed the Political Party Funding Bill on 27th March 2018. Janine also discusses another ongoing campaign to make voters aware of, and to encourage their participation in, the process to appoint new commissioners to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), particularly important in light of next year's General Elections.
