Their aim has been to revitalize the local economy, eliminate carbon emissions, restore local agriculture, food supply and forestry and create a new, sustainable base for economic and community development. As a scientist with equal abilities in chemistry and in geology, Dr. Ruiz is able to address many first-order problems in the Earth Sciences, such as the development of new isotope systems for studying ore deposits and the tectonic processes involved in the growth and evolution of Mexico. He leads a research team that addresses problems ranging from the origins of life to present-day climate change.

    14 APR 2016 · Mrs. Green talks with Mary Lou Dauray, award winning artist & consummate traveler, whose artwork reflects her concern about man-made climate destruction. She has done a series of paintings about plastic pollution in the oceans, the melting of glacial ice and the mining, transporting and burning of coal. And now she is focusing on the continuing future development of nuclear power plants by international corporate interests. Mary Lou is doing extensive research about the very serious ongoing radioactive emissions from the Fukushima Daiichi power plant accident in 2011 and learning that thyroid cancers are already appearing in children, that radioactive water is being poured into the ocean at an alarming rate and that TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company) is FINALLY starting to come clean about the severity of the Fukushima disaster in other respects as well.
