13 AUG 2014 · The town hall had been rearranged for this months meeting. The chairs for the public were pushed back to the farthest possible place from the table where the council sits. Thus, the sound quality of this recording is terrible. There is also a large section of silence at the beginning that occurred when the clerk went to photocopy the minutes of the privileged meeting.
The privileged meeting of council (that happened last week) was discussed in this segment.
Also, the deputy mayor brings up the fact that the motion to disallow recording at the last meeting was not valid since she was forced to second a motion she did not agree with.
The public petition to allow recording has not been addressed and the mayor said that the motion from last months meeting stands despite the deputy mayor bringing up the legality of it.
