3 FEB 2019 · WALTER PRATI L'ordine dei 28 suoni a cura di/curated by Sergio Armaroli and Steve Piccolo ERRATUM about Sound | Visual | Text November 15 - December 1, 2018 Milano L'ordine dei 28 suoni" è una combinazione di immagini il cui soggetto è un tasto di pianoforte declinato in 7 diversi colori e ogni colore in 4 varianti di cromatiche. La tastiera del pianoforte è in grado di riprodurre l' universo sonoro nel suo complesso, così come il testo del Sutra del Loto è in grado di raccogliere l'esperienza finale della illuminazione del Buddha Shakyamuni (conosciuto anche come Siddartha), interpretarla e spiegare, nella sua interezza a tutti gli esseri, le questioni relative all'esistenza. Il Sutra del Loto è composto da 28 capitoli che affrontano il tema unico dell' illuminazione nei suoi diversi percorsi e da diverse angolazioni. Così i diversi colori e le loro variazioni accompagnano la visione del tasto del pianoforte e offrendo "punti di vista" molteplici di un unico soggetto. Le 28 tavole sono state prodotte utilizzando una fotografia di una parte del tasto del pianoforte. La foto è stata poi stampata su carta cotone, ritoccata con colori ad olio, scansione e ristampato su tela. L' ultimo passo è di nuovo un intervento con vernice acrilica. Le 28 tavole possono essere distribuiti a piacimento oppure secondo la successione dei 7 colori (bianco, nero, blu, rosso, marrone, giallo, verde) organizzando intorno a ciascun colore le sue variazioni. Le dimensioni delle tavole dei colori blu, verde, giallo, rosso, marrone sono 25 cm. X 20 cm . , Le tabelle di colori bianco e nero sono 29 cm. X 20 cm. Attraverso l'utilizzo del software MaxMsp è stat organizzata una applicazione che, riproducendo le immagini dei tasti esposti, permette di suonarli toccandoli sullo schermo di un Ipad opportunamente predisposto e programmato. A ciascun colore è stata assegnata una “modalità comportamentale” pianistica e per ogni variazione cromatica (4 per ciascun colore) una variazione sonora della medesima modalità. Il visitatore potrà “scoprire” l'associazione tra colore e modalità pianistica con le sue varianti e decidere di suonarle in tempo reale. La mostra può essere accompagnata anche dalla presenza di un/a pianista che, avendo a disposizione lo spartito dei suoni registrati e trasmessi dalla applicazione gestita dall’IPad, può interagire musicalmente con il visitatore in una sorta di duetto estemporaneo. I always think of the meanings of whatever linguistic units I include as being at least as important as their sounds, whether they be separated speech sounds, syllables, words, word fragments, phrases, sentence fragments, or sentences – even when they are not ordered by normative syntax and have no fixed accumulative or total meaning. Whenever a human voice produces a sound, it carries meaning – emotive and/or semantic, simple or complex. And I think this is also true of letters and other graphics symbols.”
