6 MAY 2026 · NOTE: This recording took place between the two individuals in this recording during a private interview. Any claims made by any parties in this recording should be considered alleged unless otherwise proven in the court of law.
Al Sokolow, emeritus UC Cooperative Extension specialist in public policy and governance, passed away from complications from Parkinson's disease on June 1 at the University Retirement Community in Davis. Sokolow joined the UC Davis Department of Political Science as an assistant professor in 1965 after receiving his bachelor's degree in journalism and Ph.D. in political science from the University of Illinois. Sokolow served as a faculty member at UC Davis for 39 years, teaching, conducting research, and engaging in outreach work in the areas of American state and local government and politics until his retirement in 2004. He specialized in the politics and governance of small communities. In the last dozen years of his UC Davis service, Sokolow focused on farmland protection policy in California's Central Valley and elsewhere, after transitioning to a UC Cooperative Extension specialist position in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. He served as an associate editor for California Agriculture, UC ANR's peer-reviewed journal. He credited his training and experience in newspaper work, including as the editor-in-chief at the Daily Illini college newspaper in 1955-56, for the interviewing and writing skills he employed as a researcher.

3 MAY 2026 · Richard Oldham's mob connections, former chief Gilbert's state-level government connections, and who knows how much missing money and drugs the QPD's officers stole from trafficking operations along Quartzsite's highways are among just a few of Ed Foster's allegations in today's release of our in-depth interview with the former mayor on this edition of Legally Insane News. If you've been following along with the release of my latest documentary, Big Trouble in Little Quartzsite, you'll know that the former mayor's various appearances in the viral, award-winning film are all very controversial. This is what makes Foster such a kingpin in the film itself. Stay tuned after this interview to find out how you can watch, or even be a part of, the upcoming expanded series I hope to release this year - 2026 - as nationwide interest in municipal corruption explodes across the country. So, strap in for this second outtake interview with former mayor of Quartzsite, Ed Foster.

2 MAY 2026 · In this first of many releases for the outtake interviews from Ed Foster, he not only clarifies many of my misconceptions about outright theft, reframing it as a kind of political philosophy. But he also answers lots of the questions that I've had in the comments section of the documentary release of Big Trouble in Little Quartzsite. In fact this is why I am releasing a few of his unedited interviews early on in the process of unveiling the full story of the Quartzsite drama. There are a lot more of him to come, including interviews that he had with Jon Wright, the filmmaker who covered the events in Quartzsite while I was still overseas. Now, before I get into those details, I should also say that because Foster's interview was so crucial to the film as a whole, his and several other interviews will only be partially released publicly. But don't worry, all free or paid members will get access to each full release!

28 APR 2026 · I've gotten a lot of attention from the unintentional leak of the director's cut of Big Trouble in Little Quartzsite, including that of other liberty investigators like Ernest Hancock, of Freedom's Phoenix.
Because so many questions came pouring in about the film, Ernie and I dive in and give some background on the investigation of the film, specifics about some of the interviewees, and what the undercurrent story is regarding where all the money went.
The film is available with a free membership at LegallyInsaneNews.com, so check that out before you listen to this talk. Then, feel free to ask any questions that we didn't get to cover, and I'll be sure to answer those in a future LIN podcast.
Again! For all the podcasts, investigative articles, behind the scenes outtakes from films, and the films themselves, head over to LegallyInsaneNews.com.

28 APR 2026 · Former Chief, Gilbert Zaccaro, briefly discusses his short but telling role leading the Quartzsite Police Department. In less than 15 minutes, he details his short stint as chief, his claim to have integrity up until then, and of course, just how corrupt the town of Quartzsite really is.
Listen in as this ep is a doozy.
Coming soon, I also plan to release the full Interview with Richard Abby, where he details the brandishing charge against the QPD's auto mechanic, and the ensuing scandal that ended Zaccaro's time as Quartzsite's chief.Â

22 JUL 2024 · Does anyone remember the Monkeypox scare that threatened to kill us all in some horribly painful way? No? Neither do I. And that's because it quietly disappeared from the airwaves after it lived out its tiny but virulent fear mongering campaign by the mainstream media. And it was no coincidence that the week that story "went viral" was the same week as the G7 Summit where lots of stories that affected each and every American business WEREN'T covered while the legacy media focused instead on a whopping 45 cases of the so called Monkey Pox virus that literally went nowhere. I thought enough time has passed since my first release of the monkey pox podcast I did. So, I thought I'd just make a timely re-release of how the hoax disappeared, and use it as reminder of just one more form of proof of how our mainstream media channels are not to be trusted.

12 AUG 2022 · Today, LIN interviews the lovely Dr. Katherine Sheffield, of A Few Bad Apples podcast, where, among other things, she pushes for a topic that's been in the headlines ever since George Floyd was killed by a cop with a smirk on his face - police reform.

30 JUL 2022 · Is chivalry dead? Does offense require violent action? Did Will Smith's membership in the church of Scientology require his violence? Have we emerged into a period where even Hollywood icons like Will Smith can fall from grace for playing by the new social rules?
Speaking with my old friend and former colleague, we talk about the recent update in Will Smith's self-generated downward spiral in Hollywood. We explore it from a lot of different angles. You're sure to agree with at least one of them!
