5 OCT 2022 · Talk Radio WHO broadcasting in Des Moines, Iowa asked Jenna Quinn to come on the air again 🎙 and give her thoughts on a Texas teacher terminated for telling students to call pedophiles 'minor-attracted persons'.
She’s outraged.
“Language is a powerful tool,” Jenna says. “Saying that someone is 'minor attracted' is a euphemism. If someone is sexually attracted to children they should seek help. Anyone who uses this new term should think carefully about its social implications.”
Passed unanimously in Texas in 2009, Jenna’s Law was the first child sexual abuse prevention education mandate. It requires each school district to adopt and implement a prevention policy that educates students, teachers, and caregivers on how to prevent, recognize, and report child sexual abuse. Now, over half the country has adopted legislation reflecting the principles of Jenna’s Law, including federal legislation filed called, “The Jenna Quinn Law.”
