The duo wanted to show the importance of been able to promote your business, products or services effectively as well as highlighting that providing good customer service and having a marketing strategy in place will help you to generate sales. As thus, the following are lessons that Erik took out from their conversation. 1. Quality of your product or service is superior and must never be compromised. 2. Try by all means to cater for all the needs of your customers. 3. Expand or diversify your range of services and products in order to attract as much business as possible but without losing focus on your big picture. 4. Make it a point that you are involved in the community by developing and supporting it the best way you can. 5. Adding value to the community through projects you are involved in, it is another form of marketing and creating brand awareness. 6. Marketing is like a bridge that takes you towards the success of your business, without such a bridge it will be too hard navigating the waters to get to you want to go. 7. In order for you to grow your business, you need to always be courteous to your customers. 8. Have an intimate knowledge about what you are selling, this will make selling it to you customers easy. 9. Knowing your competition is important, but it is most important that you know the reasons why you started the business you are running. 10. Love what you do! Having a marketing plan that suits your business is key. Therefore make sure that you plan strategies that with grow your business.

The following are lessons that could be drawn from the interview: 1. Have passion and love of what you do. 2. Do not be married to just one idea, explore and do other things as well. 3. It is key to fall in love with satisfying your customers first and foremost before falling in love with money. 4. Study from those who went before you. 5. Never stop improving your product or your service. 6. Social media could play an important role to your business as long as you use it wisely. 7. Money will always come, but the love for what you do is the first step to attracting and keeping your customers.
