7 JAN 2020 · In the third episode of the Forex Robot Nation podcast we discuss testing and winning in 2020. Many traders still put too much emphasis on backtesting or strategy testing. While this can be helpful, it is not a true determination of past trading results when dealing with advanced automated trading programs that use live data. There are some robots that can still be backtested completely, but these are less advanced systems. The bigger companies all rely on live data, and a DLL which allows a team of analysts to intervene, adjust and ensure you avoid losses. So, when you purchase a robot, don't rely too heavily on the strategy test results or you may be doing yourself a disservice. The second topic discussed in the podcast was about following directions properly. This may seem simple to you, but you'd be surprised how many people will use a robot the wrong way, and then blame the robot. My favorite program is Forex Fury, and I see many bad Myfxbook accounts from traders following none of the necessary guidelines. If a vendor gives you a set of rules, and you choose not to follow them, you are taking a risk. If you understand how a system works, and you want to take those risks, that's fine. Though, if you are a new trader with little trading experience, you should probably follow most of the advice provided by the vendor. Those are just a couple of ways to ensure you are trading better in 2020. Enjoy the podcast.

16 DEC 2019 · There are multiple reasons why the Forex robot marketplace is often considered a scam. The market was started by a rush of internet marketers looking to make money off of Forex traders.Traders / Clients expect to "get rich quick" and proclaim anything that takes effort a scam. These are the two main aspects we cover in the podcast, and they are both very interesting topics. It is true, that when this market started it was filled with marketers trying to take advantage of Forex traders. This last for a couple of years, but over time over 99% of these marketers have left for greener pastures. Many of them left to binary options, and the rest to crypto currencies. Now, the only developers left are traders, coders, and people who are genuinely interested in Forex. Which makes now a great time to be involved in automated Forex trading. The second topic, puts blame on the clients and it's quite accurate. There are too many traders or non-traders looking to make a quick buck, and not willing to do any work. There are simply way too many negative reviews for products based on 1-2 weeks of use. Trading systems and strategies fluctuate with the market. If you aren't willing to deal with a learning curve, and test adequately, you won't be successful. By that same token, the people who always seem to win, will win, and the people who always seem to lose, will lose. Understand your role in trading, and understand Forex robot's are not a scam.

19 NOV 2019 · Trying something new today, with the first episode of the Forex Robot Nation podcast. We really aren't sure about this new concept, but we want to foray into some new areas and we feel this can provide some helpful content. Our fearless leader PatrickFX tends to be long winded and rant about utter nonsense at times, but this is just part of the process. We hope that this new podcast will help introduce more traders to automated trading and generating passive income in the Forex marketplace. Each podcast will have a topic, and we'll do everything we can to try and stay close to the subject matter at hand. So, we hope that you enjoy this podcast, and feel free to leave comments with any of your feedback, and any rants you may want to hear in the future.
