Fibroids are a benign tumours that grows in, outside or in the muscle of a woman uterus and 80% by the age of 50 will have them, making that 1 in 3 woman. Both Pip and Venetia have been through very traumatic journeys with fibroids, similar in ways but also very different, highlighting how every woman's journey is totally unique and HCP's need to stop treating women as "all the same". This is a follow on from episode 1 and the start of a monthly episode where a new women discuss her fight with fibroids and how it's impacted her life, creating awareness of this hugely debilitating illness.
