Everyone wants to write the next American ballad
I wish it was me darn it,
but Im just not that talented.
But I have the heart for it
I say to myself;
Just go and do it!
have no excuses
First off I want to say
I was not born in the USA,
But boy do I appreciate her.
I was born in a South American country
to an American father and Argentine mother,
this allowed me to come in here
Without any problems.
It's a good thing I became a citizen otherwise I could no longer get in
Some people call it a beachfront when you bring your whole family
I was very young at the time
A lad of seven
not sure what I was getting into
our family was so very proud
and happy and it was a new beginning
In the land of the American living
The good old USA is my new home;
So much has happened since those days
a lifetime of memories
A wife but no children
Our lives in the land of the free
Has not been a total breeze.
Hard work and some elbow grease.
Brought me success and wealth
I can not think of a better place.
