In today's episode, i will describe the second stage of Schumpeter's thinking on innovation, focusing on processes of creative destruction. This is discussed in his 1942 Book capitalism, socialism and democracy and in his 1947 article The creative response in economic history.

23 FEB 2022 · Today Iwill continue with the background of evolutionary economics, and I will present in this and in the next chapter the main ideas of the economist Joseph Schumpeter. Schumpeter has a vision of innovation from the supply side, without mentioning the behavior of innovation consumers. However, we must remember that Schumpeter is the father of studies on innovation in economic theory and his influence is determining on evolutionary economics.

First, I will present the two most recognized models of innovation, the linear model and the dui model. It is in this second model that the idea of national innovation systems and the concept of learning by interacting are incorporated. Are its authors who recognize the influence received from pragmatism, symbolic interactionism and from George Mead in particular.
