  • Investigations part 2: Exploring the concept of racism

    25 MAY 2022 · Part of the work Support Services Advisors offer at CPCO is to participate in investigations when there is an allegation or complaint made regarding one of our Associates. As we navigate the changes in society over time, there is usually a shift or increase in the types of investigations we support. One area of increase has been in a greater number of complaints involving allegations of such discriminatory practices as racism. This is the focus of the second podcast produced by CPCO related to investigations.

    8 MAR 2022 · In this episode, the Support Services Team speaks with Emmanuel Adegboyega, a graduate of the Toronto Catholic District School Board who is currently a student/athlete at Simon Fraser University majoring in Criminal Law and Politics. He is also a recipient of the Lincoln Alexander Award which is awarded to young leaders to recognize their commitment to anti-racism and equity in their communities. Emmanuel shares his perspective and experiences on racism and his perspectives provide valuable insights for others (students and adults) to learn from and incorporate into their lives and communities.

She is concerned about the impact that COVID-19 continues to place on Principals and Vice-Principals relating to workload as well as mental health and well-being. She also shares that conversations with the Province and Trustees are on-going in regards to our Terms and Conditions.
